Little Love Notes; TMFSpouse

To My Future Spouse is a site dedicated to the writing of poignant little love notes to our future better halves.

Each entry is anonymous and begins with "To My Future Wife:" or "To My Future Husband:" and can cover any subject you wish. Being poetic is the way to our hearts but simplicity is never overrated.

To My Future Wife:
. You’re the only woman I see.
. I can’t wait to have movie dates with you. And not just when we are first together. I’m talking like as 80 year olds going to see the new teen movie that’s just come out. Let’s sit in the back and make out the whole time!
. Let’s take road trips often. Just get in the car and drive somewhere new.
. I already live my life as if I’m committed to you. I’m faithful and simply waiting for the day you bless my life with your presence.
. You’ll know me when you see me.
. Let’s just lie in bed and listen to Mumford & Sons together.

To My Future Husband:

. Don’t mind me if I randomly roll over and kiss you at night. I’ll be doing that just to remind myself I’m NOT dreaming.
. I’ve decided not to go to prom this year because I don’t want to go with anyone but you. You can make it up to me one day. I’ll get a white dress and we can dance all night. P.S. One day you’ll be the most perfect date to the most perfect party. Sir, I cannot wait for that day!
. I promise you I will never ever own a housecoat.

Kootenay Wedding suggests writing yours today, whether you know your future spouse or not!  Send entries to tomyfuturespouse@gmail.com.

Cupid's Arrow Struck BHLDN

BHLDN, which opened today, is shaping up to be one-stop wedding inspiration. The US online shop boasts gowns, dresses, lingerie, shoes, jewellery, cover-ups, hair adornments and accessories. Including a "My BHLDN" section where interested parties can cut & paste their most covetable items, objects, color palettes and style icons to inspire, much like designer inspiration boards, previously found in magazines. And, cue the Hallelujah chorus, they ship to Canada! [ $50 flat rate, no delivery to PO Boxes]
Which type of bride are you?

BHLDN in their own words:

An understated word with significant meaning charmed us. And so began, BHLDN.
Inspired by the Dutch word for “to keep,” as well as countless tales from family and friends of the extraordinary weddings they’d been part of, we began dreaming up something new.
Our roots are with Anthropologie, so a passion for experience and creating one-of-a-kind moments runs deep. But our offering speaks more to the not-so-everyday occasions—ours is voice that celebrates a woman’s most anticipated milestones. And one that gives tradition a twist.
We want, more than anything, to help a woman create an event that reflects her own unique perspective… to a tee. We want to give a bride that edit she’s been searching for—with heirloom-quality wedding gowns, artisanal hair adornments, footwear, and lingerie. And we want happy bridesmaids—in mix-and-match frocks with rich hues and unexpected details.
But it goes beyond the dress. Our goal, and the reason we drape, fold bustle and stitch, is to start a conversation with our customer—to build a resource where she can come to find inspiration and to share with those closest to her, as well as our broader coterie. BHLDN’s story is unfolding; and we’ll look to our customer for cues and guidance going forward.
There are no checkboxes. No fill-in-the blanks. On the contrary, we think a moment should be as layered and dimensional as the woman standing within it.
Be you. Be loved. BHLDN

Anthropologie Made Valentines Little Sweeter

Yes, you read that correctly: Anthropologie wedding dresses!
And with photographic evidence!

Anthropologie has been active wedding inspiration since it's inception but the popularity of wedding-vintage has brought Anthropologie to the forefront. It has inspired wedding themes and proven very instrumental in everything from decor-to-attire. So Kootenay Wedding finds it not a wonder that they have made the formal - and not far reaching - leap into bridal.

Anthropologie’s new wedding brand, BHLDN, doesn’t launch until Valentine’s Day, but we thought you might like a sneak peak at the line of gowns. Prices for wedding dresses range from $1,000 to $4,000 US dollars.
